Men's Volleyball Suffers First Loss, Swept 3-0 At Pfeiffer

The Belmont Abbey men's volleyball team suffered its first loss of the season as it was swept 3-0 at Pfeiffer this evening in a Conference Carolinas matchup. Set scores were 20-25, 19-25 and 19-25. Pfeiffer picks up its first win as it moves to 1-1 overall and in Conference Carolinas, while the Abbey dips to 3-1 overall and 1-1 in league play.

Belmont Abbey hit just .018 (30 kills, 28 errors on 111 total attacks) as Nolan Albrecht led the Crusaders with ten kills. He amassed a .280 attack as he logged just three miscues on 25 total attacks. He also had eight digs and seven assists. Griffin O'Camb chipped in with seven kills, six digs and four assists. Derek Sullivan handed out 15 assists.

Defensively, Aaron DeKalb's 16 digs led all players, and Evan Young chipped in with eight as the Crusaders recorded 47 on the night, two more than Pfeiffer.

Pfeiffer's Caleb Brophy led all players with 16 kills and Kyle Mariano posted 12. David Specian handed out 36 assists. Pfeiffer hit .195 for the match (40 kills, 18 errors on 113 total attacks).
