Crusaders Tied For Tenth After Third Round Of NCAA Division II Golf Championships

The Belmont Abbey men's golf team is tied for tenth after the third round of the 2008 NCAA Division II Golf Championships, held at the Memorial Park Golf Course in Houston, Texas.

The Crusaders shot a 289 today as sophomore Chris Carvill led the way with an even par 70. He is in a tie for 45th with a three day score of 217 (+7). Senior Matt Chidester fired a two over par 72 as he sits in a tie for 11th for the Championship with a three day total of 212 (+2).

Sophomore Connor Tomlinson carded a three-over par 73 as he sits in a tie for 26th with a three day score of 214 (+4). Sophomore Joe Campbell fired a 74 today as he sits in a tie for 61st with a score of 220 (+10). Freshman Peter Tarver Jones fired a 77 today, and his three day score of 222 (+12) places him in a tie for 79th.

The Abbey enters tomorrow's final round with a noon (CDT) tee time.
