Now in her seventh season, Emma Dusterhoff was named the first head coach of the Belmont Abbey College Cheerleading program when it was elevated from club to varsity status in June of 2015.

Dusterhoff has already taken the Crusaders to new heights as she led the team to the 2017 Small Collegiate All-Girl National Championship title at the Cheer Limited CANAM Nationals. Abbey Cheerleading then went on to earn second place in its division in both 2018 and 2019. The team has also competed in the Clash of the Conferences, earning one overall highest score title.

Dusterhoff graduated from Benedictine College in Atchison, Kan., in 2015 with a degree in Business Management. During her time there, she was a cheerleader for four years and contributed to an All-Girl Cheer conference title in 2012 and NAIA Regional All-Girl Cheer Championship win in 2013. She served as team captain for the last two years of her college career.

Dusterhoff went on to complete her Masters in Intercollegiate Athletic Administration from California University of Pennsylvania in 2016.
