Hi, my name is Jaime Malilong and I am the Recruiting Coordinator and Associate Head Coach for Women's Soccer. We are always on the lookout for serious soccer student-athletes looking for a premier collegiate experience.
Below is some information on Belmont Abbey College and our soccer program
- Located just a few miles west of Charlotte in Belmont, North Carolina. Charlotte International Airport is a short 10 minute drive to Belmont Abbey. The Charlotte area is full of fun things to do especially if you like the outdoors. If you want to explore the Appalachian mountains or the Carolina beaches, these can be reached within 2-3 hours. Â
- The college is recognized annually as one of the top liberal arts colleges in the southeast.Â
- A Cardinal Newman-designated institution, Belmont Abbey College is often referred to as the Catholic College of the South.
- Belmont Abbey College competes in NCAA Division II and is a member of Conference Carolinas.
- Belmont Abbey College sponsors 32 men's, women's and coed athletic programs.Â
- Women's Soccer started competing in 1994. The program has a rich tradition of athletic and academic success. In the past 12 seasons, the program earned 9 Team Academic awards, 8 Team Ethics and Sportsmanship awards, 1 Team Pinnacle award, 4 Conference Carolinas Messick Sportsmanship awards, one regular season championship, two conference tournament championships, three NCAA tournaments and competed in eight of the last 12 Conference Carolinas Championship Tournament final games.Â

- Complete the Institution's Athletics Interest questionnaire.
- Send me an email (jaimemalilong@bac.edu) communicating your interest, grad year, position you play, club team name, upcoming matches/tourneys, jersey number, video highlights you may have, and telephone number. If you are contacting us before June 15 going into your junior year, please also provide your coach's name and telephone number. PLEASE UNDERSTAND WE CANNOT REACH BACK OUT DIRECTLY UNTIL JUNE 15 PRECEDING YOUR JUNIOR YEAR.
- To be recruited, we need to see you play in person ... games, practices, camps, etc. We recruit numerous showcases, matches and training year round. We host our Next Level Camps (college ID) throughout the year (www.crusadersocceracademy.com) as well as participate in numerous other college and club ID camps across the country.

A few NCAA D2 recruiting rules to be aware of:
- We can take phone calls and receive emails from prospects prior to June 15th of their Junior year but we cannot initiate nor return calls or emails. We are allowed to send Camp info and an Athletic Interest Questionnaire at any time. If you call and we do not pick up, please let us know when you will be calling again and we will try to be available.Â
- You can visit anytime and are allowed to meet with coaches during your visit
- You are allowed 1 tryout (training session) per institution.Â
