BANNER ELK, N.C. — The Belmont Abbey women's tennis won its second consecutive Conference Carolinas match and fifth in the last six overall as the Crusaders defeated Lees-McRae 6-1 Tuesday at the Sandra R. Porter Tennis Courts.
The Crusaders earned the win after sweeping the doubles point and winning five of the six singles matches.
Mackenzie McCarthy,
Alexis Burkhalter and
Rebekka Collyer were the three Crusaders who in both singles and doubles play.
With Tuesday's result, Belmont Abbey improves to 12-5 overall and 5-1 in Conference Carolinas play. Lees-McRae is 4-4 overall and 1-4 in the league.
