BELMONT, N.C. — The Belmont Abbey women's tennis team celebrated a conference win on senior day as the Crusaders defeated North Greenville 6-1 Saturday afternoon at the Reidy Tennis Center.
The Crusaders celebrated five seniors on Senior Day prior to the match:
Alexis Burkhalter,
Kaitlin Nguyen,
Hanley Riner,
Rebekka Collyer and
Maggie Page.
During the match, the Abbey took two of three doubles matches and went on to win five of singles matches to secure the in. Nguyen, Burkhalter and Riner all won in both singles and doubles play.
Belmont Abbey improves to 11-5 overall and 4-1 in Conference Carolinas play. North Greenville is now 8-7 overall and 2-3 in league play.
