BELMONT, N.C. -- Triniti Cassidy scored the game-winning goal with as the final buzzer sounded, giving Belmont Abbey a 14-13 victory over Montevallo in non-conference women's lacrosse action Saturday afternoon. The shot culminated a five-goal game for the Crusaders' leading scorer.

With the win, the Crusaders improve to 6-3, while the Falcons fall to 2-6.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Cassidy tallied five or more goals for the third time this season, taking nine shots (seven on goal).
• Addyson Greenspan, Amanda Borg and Macy Lashells each scored a pair of goals. Greenspan added two assists for four points.
• Emerson Sheyda, Abba Walsh and Abbey McCarthy rounded out the scoring.
• Belmont Abbey won 15 draw controls to the Falcons' 12 and caused 15 turnovers. The Crusaders also picked up 21 ground balls, led by Faith Piser with four.
• Summer Eddinger made six saves in goal for the Crusaders to improve to 6-3.
