BELMONT, N.C. -- Caden Day hit .423 with 16 kills and Zach Puentes added 13 kills on a .385 hitting percentage, leading Belmont Abbey to a 3-0 (25-19, 26-24, 25 -3 ) victory over North Greenville in Conference Carolinas men's volleyball action Saturday afternoon.
With the win, the Crusaders improved to 11-4 overall and 6-1 in league play, while the Trailblazers fall to 7-5, 4-3.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Day had just five errors in 26 chances. He also tallied an assist, a service ace and six digs.
- Puentes had just three errors on hit 26 attemps, while adding five digs and two blocks to his stat line.
- TJ Neville just missed double figures in kills with nine.
- Setter Joseph Morris dished out 37 assists while libero Alejandro Leon was the digs leader with seven.
- Belmont Abbey hit .337 as a team, the tenth match this year over .300.
