BELMONT, N.C. — The Belmont Abbey men's tennis team split a pair of matches against No. 42 Columbus State and Converse Saturday at the Reidy Tennis Center.
The Crusaders fell 4-3 to the Cougars before earning a 7-0 sweep of the Valkyries in the afternoon. With Saturday's results, Belmont Abbey men's tennis is now 10-11 on the season and 2-0 in Conference Carolinas play.
Against the Valkyries, Belmont Abbey won all nine matches including
Charlie Fremaux and
Isaac Buerkle defeating the No. 15 doubles team of Ben Hyde-Smith and Takuma Furumaki, 6-3
Columbus State is now 6-0 on the season while Converse is 5-4 overall and 1-1 in league play.
