BELMONT, N.C. -- TJ Neville had a career-high 14 kills and Belmont Abbey hit .352 as a team, leading the Crusaders to a 3-0 (25-20, 25-18, 27-25) sweep of league-leader Mount Olive in Conference Carolinas men's volleyball action Saturday afternoon.
With the victory, The Abbey improves to 8-2 overall and 5-1 in league play, while the Trojans fall to 8-4, 5-1.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Neville, making his first career start, hit .333 (14k-5e-27a). His three block assists and four total blocks were also career best, while he chipped in three digs.
- Jibriel Elhaddad and Zach Puentes each had 10 kills, hitting 438 and .342, respectively. Elhaddad added three block assists, while Puentes tallied a team-high seven digs and one block assist.
- Joseph Morris dished out 37 assists and made six digs. He shared the team lead for aces with Leyton Ritchie at two.
- The contest marked the sixth time this season that the Crusaders hit over .300 as a team. All but one player with an attack also accomplished that feat.
- The Crusaders trailed 24-21 in the third set but scored five straight points. After an attack error, BAC gained back-to-back kills for the win.

- Belmont Abbey continues its five-match homestead on Tuesday with a non-conference tilt against local rival Queens.
