Box Score 2 GARDEN CITY, N.Y. -- Belmont Abbey wrapped up its weekend in New York with a pair of tightly-contested matches, falling 3-1 (23-25, 25-20, 25-23, 25-21) to Adephi and 3-2 (23-25, 25-19, 25-23, 18-25, 15-10) to Post. Saturday's action was hosted by Adelphi as part of the 2025 Roar Classic.
With the results, the Crusaders fall to 1-3 on the season.
THE ADELPHI MATCH
- Renata Bolado registered a double-double of the season with a career-high 20 kills and 10 digs. She hit ..320 (20k-4e-50a), while also serving a team-best four aces.
- Chloe Lowder tallied 11 kills and a .435 hitting percentage, while Katie Brookins connected for 10 kills at a .400 clip.
- Emma Youngblood also reached a double-double with 41 assists and 10 digs.
- Kyleigh Coghlan led the defensive effort with 12 digs, while Maya Swenson added eight. As a team, the Crusaders totaled 55.
THE ADELPHI MATCH
- Lowder led the attack with 10 kills, while registering four blocks and two digs on the defensive side.
- Bolado shared the team lead with 17 digs, while equaling Lola Sultenfuss at eight kills.
- Mallory Swain posted a career-best 17 digs, while Sheridan Young also had her best total at 12.
- Youngblood posted 39 assists and three aces.
- Mary Grace Hogue also served three aces.
UP NEXT
- Belmont Abbey competes in its second in-season tournament of the schedule when it travels to the West Virginia Wesleyan Tournament.
- The Crusaders will face Virginia Union on Friday and the hosts and Lock Haven on Saturday.
