WILSON, N.C. — The Belmont Abbey women's lacrosse team had three Crusaders tally three points as the team battled Barton Wednesday afternoon at Truist Stadium.

The Abbey battled back and forth but it was the Bulldogs who came away with the 11-10 win.

Katelyn Miller led Belmont Abbey with three goals while Addyson Greenspan and Abbey McCarthy had one goal and two assists each.

The game was officially contested as a nonconference game.

Belmont Abbey is now 6-7 on the year while Barton is now 9-6 on the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Belmont Abbey took an early 3-1 lead thanks to goals from Miller, Triniti Cassidy and Greenspan.
• After Barton took a 7-4 lead, Abba Walsh scored the first of her two goals to cut the deficit to 7-5.
• Barton went up 8-5 before goals by Miller and Kacey Kubarewicz made it 8-7 in favor of the Bulldogs entering the fourth quarter.
• Belmont Abbey took a 10-9 lead with Walsh's second goal with just over six minutes remaining in the contest.
• Barton scored the final two goals of the game, including the game-winner with less than two minutes to go.
• Belmont Abbey finished with 27 shots and 22 on goal for the game.
• Greenspan and Ava Reganato led Belmont Abbey with four ground balls each.
• Olivia Carline finished with three caused turnovers.
• Kubarewicz led the Abbey with six draw controls.
• Summer Eddinger made seven saves in goal for the Crusaders.
