BELMONT, N.C. -- Olivia Carlino scored four goals and added an assist, leading Belmont Abbey to a 17-12 victory over Emmanuel in Conference Carolinas Wednesday afternoon at Alumni Field. In total, 10 different players cracked the scorecard with a goal.
With the win, the Crusaders improve to 5-4 overall and 3-0 in league play, while the Lions fall to 4-4, 0-2.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Carlino led the team in both goals and points. She took eight shots overall with six on goal.
- Triniti Cassidy and Katelyn Miller tallied three goals each, while seven other players found the net once.
- Grace Ridge finished the contest with three points, adding two assists to her goal.
- Kacey Kubarewicz and Cassidy won seven draw controls each, giving the Crusaders a 20-12 advantage in the category.
- Summer Eddinger grabbed three ground balls and caused turnovers in goal. She also made 13 saves.
- Belmont Abbey outshot Emmanuel 37 to 29 overall and held a 12-10 advantage on ground balls.
