BRISTOL, Tenn. — The Belmont Abbey men's tennis team got its Conference Carolinas schedule off to a good start thanks to a 5-2 victory over King Tuesday.
The Crusaders swept the doubles point over the Tornado and earned wins in four of the six singles matches to take the match.

Tim Stemler and
Isaac Buerkle (Nos. 2, 3 and 6) all earned wins in singles play with
Marcus Bergelin clinching the match with his win in No. 5 singles. Bergelin, Stemler and Buerkle all won in doubles and singles play for the Abbey.
With Tuesday's result, Belmont Abbey is now 11-15 overall and 1-0 in conference play. King is 4-7 overall, 0-3 in the league.
