BELMONT, N.C. — The Belmont Abbey men's tennis team was locked in a close match against Lander Monday afternoon at the Reidy Tennis Center as the team returned to action from spring break.
The Crusaders attempted to rally in singles play but fell 4-3 to the Bearcats.
Belmont Abbey was swept in doubles play but
Ricard Novell,
Peru Bayo and
Nicholas Cary earned victories in the Nos. 2, 3 and 4 spots, respectively.
With Monday's results, Belmont Abbey is now 10-15 on the season while Lander is now 9-2.
