GREENEVILLE, Tenn. -- Jibriel Elhaddad tallied 11 kills and eight blocks and
Ryan Charles registered his first career double-double, but Tusculum rallied for a 3-1 (19-25, 25-19, 25-23, 25-19) victory over Belmont Abbey in men's volleyball action Wednesday afternoon.
With the result, the Crusaders fall to 9-7, while the Pioneers improve to 11-8.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Elhaddad hit .280 with four errors in 25 chances.
- Charles had a career-best 10 kills, plus a season-high 10 digs. He hit .318 in the contest (10k-3e-22a) and served two aces, tied for the team lead.
- Matthew Staskunas also reached double figures in kills with 10, while also adding two aces.
- Joseph Morris dished out 38 assists, made three blocks and was the third player to issue two aces.
- Caden Day tied for the team lead in digs, with Morris just missing a double-double with nine.

- Belmont Abbey faces a crucial Conference Carolinas weekend on the road Friday and Saturday.
- The Crusaders travel East to Barton and league leader Mount Olive, respectively. The three teams are currently 18-2 in league play with the Crusaders splitting the home matches against the two earlier this year.
