BELMONT, N.C. -- Olivia Carlino scored four goals but a 13-4 surge by Lander over the middle two quarters lifted the Bearcats to a 15-7 win over Belmont Abbey in women's lacrosse action Saturday afternoon.

With the result, the Crusaders fall to 2-3 overall, while Lander improves to 5-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Carlino finished the contest with four points on seven shots. She also grabbed two ground balls.
• Trinity Cassidy tallied two points on a goal and an assist, while Addyson Greenspan and Katelyn Miller also found the net.
• Three different Crusaders gained two ground balls -- Carlino, Cassidy and goalie Summer Eddinger.
• Cassidy won six draw controls, while Greenspan added three, with the hosts holding a 14-10 advantage in the category.
• Eddinger made eight saves in net.
• Carlino's goals gave The Abbey leads of 1-0 and 3-2, but Lander tallied four in a row after that and led 8-4 at the break.
