DAVIDSON, N.C. and FREDERICKSBURG, Va. — The Belmont Abbey men's tennis team competed in four matches at two different sites as part of a busy Saturday.
The Crusaders took on a pair of Division I opponents in Davidson and North Carolina Central while another group traveled to face Mary Washington in a doubleheader.
Belmont Abbey went 1-3 on the day, splitting the doubleheader at UMW and dropping matches to Davidson and NCCU.
Ricard Novell won in No. 1 singles against Davidson and No. 3 singles against North Carolina Central while
Peyton Williams,
Ewan Grieve and
Samuel McGregor earned wins in singles and doubles play in the second match against Mary Washington.
The Crusaders are 2-5 following Saturday's play.

- The Belmont Abbey men's tennis team returns to the court Monday with a pair of rescheduled matches.
- The Crusaders will travel to Johnson C. Smith for an 11 a.m. match and will host Wingate for a 1 p.m. match at the Reidy Tennis Center.
