BELMONT, N.C. and CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Belmont Abbey men's tennis team split a pair of matches against Wingate and Johnson C. Smith Monday as the Crusaders continue a busy stretch to begin the season.
The Crusaders narrowly dropped the home match against Wingate 4-3 before earning a 7-0 win at Johnson C. Smith in a win up the road in Charlotte.
Against the Bulldogs, the Crusaders took the doubles points and
Jackson Korta earned wins in both singles and doubles play. At JCSU, the Abbey took eight of nine matches with
Jonas Berglund,
Jon Bayo and
Joshua Mayhew earning wins in singles and doubles.
Belmont Abbey is now 3-6 on the season.

- The Crusaders will split the squads on Saturday as the Crusaders will face Lincoln Memorial and the University of Charleston starting at 2 p.m. in Harrogate, Tennessee.
- Another team from the Abbey will face North Carolina A&T at 4:30 p.m. Saturday in Greensboro.
