ROME, Ga. -- Alhousseny Diallo posted his first career double-double with career highs and two other players topped double figures but league newcomer Shorter defeated Belmont Abbey 69-55 in Conference Carolinas men's basketball action Saturday afternoon.
With the result, the Crusaders fall to 1-18 overall and 1-16 in league play, while The Hawks improve to 5-17, 3-13.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Diallo scored 14 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, both career-highs for the second-year player. He had double figures in points one other time this season, while reaching at least 10 rebounds twice before Saturday.
- Khamani Wertz led the Abbey in scoring with 18 points and two assists, while Jordan Patton added 15 points and six rebounds.
