GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Belmont Abbey's Alhousseny Diallo has been named Conference Carolinas Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced today. The honor is the first for the senior forward and the first by a Crusader this year.

Diallo enjoyed a career day in the only action of the week, a 70-67 victory over Northwest Division rival Converse on Saturday. He tallied a career-high 25 points on 11-for-13 shooting from the floor, while grabbing a season-high 11 rebounds for his third career double-double and first of the season. In addition, the native of Mali scored the go-ahead basket with 20 seconds remaining and hit two insurance free throws at the seven-second mark.

Belmont Abbey returns to action tomorrow against another division foe, Lees-McRae. Tip-off is at 7 p.m. in the Wheeler Center.
