Six Crusaders Earn CSC Academic All-District Honors

GREENWOOD, Ind. — Six Belmont Abbey women's soccer student-athletes were named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team Tuesday afternoon by the organization.

Anna Richárd, Haley Long, Addie Galek, Sabrina Cunha, Maris Toppin and Hanna Doerr were selected as members of the team. Richárd and Long are both back on the team for the second consecutive year while the remaining Crusaders are making their first appearance on the team.

Richárd, a senior forward from Carthage, North Carolina, is a nursing major at Belmont Abbey with a 3.81 grade-point average. She put together another outstanding season for the Crusaders, finishing with nine goals and 13 assists on the season. The 13 assists were tied for the most in all of Division II entering the NCAA Tournament. She earned first-team All-Conference Carolinas honors and was named the Division II United Soccer Coaches Player of the Month for October. She started and played in 21 matches this season.

Long, a junior forward from Winston-Salem, North Carolina, is also a nursing major at the Abbey with a 3.69 GPA. She's back on the team for the second straight year after another strong offensive year as she led the team in goals (11) and had eight assists on the season. She appeared in all 22 matches for Belmont Abbey with 12 starts. She was a second-team All-Conference Carolinas selection for the second straight year.

Cunha, a senior midfielder from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, is an educational studies major at the Abbey with a 3.69 GPA. Starting in all 22 matches this season for the Crusaders, she finished with seven goals and seven assists and scored the match-winning goal in the Conference Carolinas Championship against Francis Marion. Her play also earned her a first-team All-Conference Carolinas selection, one of four for the Crusaders this past season.

Galek, a senior midfielder from Charlotte, North Carolina, is a psychology major at Belmont Abbey with a 3.97 GPA. She had a career-best year, finishing with eight goals and five assists on the season. Additionally, she was a first-team All-Conference Carolinas selection and appeared in all 22 matches with 19 starts for the Crusaders this season.

Toppin, a sophomore defender from Carolina Beach, North Carolina, makes the team in her first year of eligibility. She is a biology major at the Abbey with a 3.81 GPA at the Abbey. She appeared in all 22 matches for the Crusaders with 19 starts and finished with six assists on the season and was one of the key pieces for the Belmont Abbey defense this season. She earned second team All-Conference Carolinas honors this season for her efforts.

Doerr, a junior midfielder, from Littleton, Colorado, is a pre-nursing major with a 3.86 GPA. She makes her first appearance on the All-District team after finishing with two goals and an assist on the season. She appeared in 21 matches this season for the Crusaders with 17 starts to her credit. Additionally, she was a third-team All-Conference Carolinas selection and was named to the Conference Carolinas All-Tournament team as the Abbey won its first conference tournament title since the 2014 season.

Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. The full Academic All-America® honorees will be announced Dec. 17, 2025.

The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs.
