INDIANAPOLIS — The Belmont Abbey women's soccer team was ranked No. 10 in the latest Southeast Region rankings released by the NCAA Wednesday afternoon. It is the third and final set of regional rankings released by the Division II Women's Soccer Committee.

The Crusaders advanced to the Conference Carolinas Tournament semifinals after defeating Lees-McRae 4-0 on Saturday in the quarterfinals. Belmont Abbey enters the semifinals on a seven-match win streak and a 14-4-1 overall record. The Abbey is one of two Conference Carolinas programs ranked along with Francis Marion, who is third.

Belmont Abbey will face No. 3 seed UNC Pembroke in the Conference Carolinas Tournament semifinals at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Bryan Park in Browns Summit, N.C. The winner of that contest will face the winner of No. 1 seed Francis Marion and No. 5 seed Young Harris at 2 p.m. Sunday.

The NCAA will announce its tournament selections on November 17 at 6:30 p.m.
