BELMONT, N.C. — The Belmont Abbey women's soccer team continued its strong run of play with a 4-0 victory over Northwest Division rival Lees-McRae Wednesday afternoon at Alumni Field.
The Crusaders earned the win thanks in part to three second-half goals to pull away from the Bobcats.

Hannah Willis and
Addie Galek all tallied goals while
Jadyn Radestock had a pair of assists. The win is the fourth in the last five contests for Belmont Abbey and the third win in a row at home.
With Wednesday's results, Belmont Abbey improves to 8-4-1 overall and 6-2-1 in Conference Carolinas play. Lees-McRae is 5-6-2 overall, 4-4-1 in the league. Additionally, the Crusaders 5-1 in divisional play while the Bobcats are 2-3-1.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Four of the first six shots for Belmont Abbey in the contest were on target.
- Roche headed the ball in for the first goal of the day for the Crusaders in the 23rd minute off of a Radestock assist.
- The Abbey outshot Lees-McRae 7-3 in the first half.
- The Crusaders scored the second goal when Anna Richárd took a shot that deflected in to the Lees-McRae goal for the second goal of the day in the 76th minute.
- Less than a minute later, Hannah Willis scored on a breakaway on a second Radestock assist.
- Galek capped the scoring with a goal with less than 30 seconds remaining in the match.
- Belmont Abbey finished with a 17-4 advantage in shots. None of the Bobcats' four shots were on goal.
- Ryleigh Dougherty was credited with a shutout in goal for the Crusaders.
- The Abbey held Lees-McRae without a corner kick. The Crusaders finished with five for the match.
