MURFREESBORO, N.C. -- Khamani Wertz led three players in double figures with 15 points and dished out five assists, but Chowan posted a 90-62 victory over Belmont Abbey in Conference Carolinas men's basketball action on Saturday.

With the result, the Crusaders fall to 1-13 overall and 0-11 in league play. The Hawks improve to 10-6, 7-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Wertz connected on three three-pointers and added another basket, while hitting all four free throws. He also grabbed two rebounds and registered a steal.
• Judah Sault scored 14 points and Jaden Peters tallied 12 points and four assists..
• Alhousseny Diallo led the rebounding effort with five, while chipping in six points.
•  The Abbey hit 11 three-pointers in the contest, the third-highest total of the season.
