ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- Belmont Abbey wrapped up its 2024 in-season tournament schedule Saturday with the final two matches at the Flagler Saints Classic. The Crusaders started the day with a 3-0 (25-20, 25-9, 25-15) setback against Embry-Riddle before falling to the host Saints 3-0 (25-19, 25-16, 25-20).
With the results, the Crusaders fall to 1-7 on the season.
THE EMBRY-RIDDLE MATCH
- Tyler Case led the offensive attack with six kills, while adding a block.
- Chloe Lowder and Lola Sultenfuss each added five kills. Lowder had a solo block.
- Riley Nikol had the Crusaders only service ace, plus chipped in four digs.
- Ella Schellenberg tallied 12 assists and five digs, while Lily Marsh was the defensive leader with six digs.
THE FLAGLER MATCH
- Case had team-highs for kills with seven and digs with 11. She also served a pair of aces.
- Lola Sultenfuss tallied a career-best four blocks.
- Schellenberg reached double figures in assists with 11.
- Marsh registered six digs and two assists.
UP NEXT
- Belmont Abbey begins Conference Carolinas play with a trip to East Division foes Barton and Chowan.
