YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. — The Belmont Abbey women's tennis team put together a late rally in the final two singles matches of the day to earn a 4-3 victory over Young Harris Friday afternoon at the Bob & Gayle Nichols Tennis Complex.
 
The Crusaders took two of three matches from the Mountain Lions to earn the doubles point and earned three wins in singles play to clinch the victory.
 
Rebekka Collyer was the first for the Abbey to clinch a point in singles play followed by Kaitlin Nguyen who trailed 6-1, 5-2 in the second set and saved three match points before taking the win in No. 2 singles.
 
Frankee Hendricks earned the three-set win in No. 1 singles to clinch the match for the Crusaders.
 
Belmont Abbey improves to 13-9 overall and 3-1 in Conference Carolinas play. Young Harris is now 8-8, 2-2.
