ARLINGTON, Texas -- Battling a pair of Top-10 teams on Friday in the NCAA Women's Bowling Arlington Regional, Belmont Abbey came up short in both matches to see its historic season come to an end.

In the opening round of the full double elimination format, top-seeded and fifth-ranked North Carolina A&T swept No. 4 seed Belmont Abbey by a 2-0 score, winning.the traditional team match 933-856 and the five Baker total pinfall segment 1067-745. In the loser's bracket match during the afternoon, seventh-ranked Louisiana Tech also took a 2-0 decision. The traditional match ended 975-871, despite Canan Bademci's 206, while the 5 Baker total pinfall ended 1045-848.

Making their first NCAA Tournament appearance in program-history, the Crusaders defeated Alabama State yesterday to earn its spot in the four-team bracket.
