YOUNG HARRIS, Ga./BELMONT, N.C. — The Belmont Abbey men's tennis team add two more matches to its busy week by splitting the squad against Young Harris and College of Charleston Friday afternoon.
The Crusaders battled but fell in both matches Friday, a 5-2 result to the Mountain Lions on the road and 6-1 to the Cougars at the Reidy Tennis Center.
Chase Martin and
Jackson Korta earned a win in No.1 doubles while
Christian Winstead and
Zak Vince won in No. 2 and No. 4 singles, respectively, against Young Harris. Full scores from the match will be available later.
Ricard Novell earned a win in No.3 singles against the Cougars.
Belmont Abbey is now 16-18 overall, 1-2 in Conference Carolinas competition. Young Harris is 9-5 overall, 4-0 in the league.C ollege of Charleston is 10-8 overall
