WILSON, N.C. -- In both the regular-season matchup and in Sunday's Conference Carolinas Championship Game, Belmont Abbey and Mount Olive needed overtime to determine a winner. And on both occasions, the Trojans tallied the sudden-death goal for a 12-11 victory over the Crusaders.

The heartbreaking decision ends the season at 10-7.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Tre Childers scored three goals and added an assist for four points.
• Davis McCully was the only other Crusader with a mult-goal game, tallying a pair.
• Riley Arsenault, Mikey Sweigart, Harry Maloney, Jacob Power, Jeremy Mahoney and Alex Garcia also got on the scoreboard for The Abbey.
• Caleb Mulcahy won 11 of 26 faceoffs and grabbed a team-high six ground balls.
• The Crusaders took 41 shots to UMO's 52.
• Angus Snow made 15 saves in goal
• The championship game appearance was the fifth in six years for Belmont Abbey.
