BELMONT, N.C — The Belmont Abbey women's team returned to the court and earned a win in convincing fashion thanks to a 6-1 victory over West Virginia Wesleyan Friday at the Reidy Tennis Center.
The Crusaders swept doubles play and took five of the six matches in singles play to earn the victory over the Bobcats.
Frankee Hendricks,
Alexis Burkhalter,
Hanley Riner and
Mackenzie McCarthy all won in their respective doubles matches and singles matches.
The Abbey was scheduled to play another match against Gardner-Webb but it was postponed due to rain.
With the victory, Belmont Abbey is now 5-4 on the season. West Virginia Wesleyan is 4-4.
