WINTER PARK, Fla. — The Belmont Abbey women's lacrosse team opened its Florida road trip with a contest at No. 10 Rollins Thursday night at Barker Family Stadium.
Six Crusaders scored goals, including three with multiple goals on the evening, but it was Rollins who came away with a 21-9 victory over the Abbey. It was the first meeting between the two programs since the 2017 season.

Triniti Cassidy and
Katelyn Miller all scored goals in the contest.
Belmont Abbey is now 5-3 following Thursday's matchup The Tars are now 8-1 on the year.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- It was a game of runs to start as Rollins scored the first eight goals of the contest.
- Belmont Abbey tallied the next three with Pherson accounting for both of her goals in that run followed by a tally from Cassidy.
- Pherson has scored goals in four of the last five contests for the Crusaders. She also forced two turnovers.
- Haley Adamo scored her goal of the game late in the first half.
- The Crusaders outscored the Tars 4-3 in the third quarter with goals from Cassidy, Kacey Kubarewicz and two from Miller.
- Kami Sauceda capped off the scoring for the Abbey in the fourth for third goal of the season.
- The Abbey finished with 19 shots for the game, 15 on goal.
- Grace Ridge led the Crusaders with six draw controls.
- Belmont Abbey finished with 17 ground balls on the night.
