WINSTON-SALEM/ASHEVILLE, N.C. — The Belmont Abbey men's tennis team split the squad and took on a pair of Division I opponents Wednesday evening against No. 6 Wake Forest and UNC Asheville Wednesday.
The Crusaders took the doubles point against the Demon Deacons before falling 5-2 and the Bulldogs earned a 7-0 sweep over the Abbey.
The doubles teams of
Tim Stemler and
Noelle Andrey Ampong and
Christian Winstead and
Andres Golindano earned victories for Belmont Abbey while
Jackson Korta earned a win in No. 6 singles over Noah Hahn.
With Wednesday's results, Belmont Abbey is now 16-14 on the season.
