SPARTANBURG, S.C. — The Belmont Abbey women's tennis team extended its winning streak to four matches thanks to a 6-1 win over Converse Saturday afternoon at the Sally Abney Rose Complex.
The Crusaders earned the victory after taking two of three doubles matches to earn the point and followed that with wins in five of six singles matches.
Hanley Riner and
Mackenzie McCarthy teamed up to win their respective doubles matches and also won in singles play.
Leilany Sanchez also won in both doubles and singles for the Abbey.
Belmont Abbey is 11-8 overall, 2-0 in Conference Carolinas. Converse is 5-7 overall, 0-2 in the league.
