GASTONIA, N.C. -- Belmont Abbey totaled 2608 pins during morning qualifying to earn the No. 3 seed then defeated No. 6 Ursuline 4-2 Friday in the first round of the Conference Carolinas/Great Midwest Women's Bowling Championship. The event is being held at the George Pappas Liberty Lanes in Gastonia.
With the win, the Crusaders advance to a winner's bracket matchup against No. 2 Lincoln Memorial at 8 a.m. on Saturday morning.
