ELON, N.C. -- Isabelle Flores set a school record in the 200-meter dash and seven Conference Carolinas Championship-qualifying standards were met as Belmont Abbey competed at the Phoenix Invitational, hosted by Elon, on Friday.

Flores ran 25-flat over 200 meters, besting the previous record of 25.46 set by Brien Crisci on March 19, 2016. It was the second-fastest time in Conference Carolinas this outdoor season.

Belmont Abbey returns to action in two weeks at the VertKlasse Meeting, hosted by High Point.
