BELMONT, N.C./CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Belmont Abbey men's tennis team closed out a busy Wednesday afternoon with the Conference Carolinas opener against King along with a doubleheader at Queens.
The Crusaders earned a 7-0 win against the Tornado while the Abbey dropped a pair of matches against the Royals 5-2 and 6-1.
Against King, the Crusaders won eight of the nine matches with
Chase Martin and
Jackson Korta winning in both doubles and singles play.
At Queens,
Peyton Williams,
Ricard Novell and
Tyler Troche all won in singles play.
Belmont Abbey is now 16-12 on the season and 1-0 in Conference Carolinas play. King is 2-7 and Queens is 9-5.
