BELMONT, N.C. — The Belmont Abbey men's tennis team returned to the court to face off against No. 4 Columbus State Tuesday at the Reidy Tennis Center in a rematch of the NCAA Southeast Regional opening round match the last two seasons.
In a matchup of nationally ranked programs, it was Columbus State who came away with the 7-0 win over the Abbey.
With the results, Columbus State improved to 9-4 on the season while Belmont Abbey is now 15-10 on the year.
The Crusaders will split the squad with three matches Wednesday. Belmont Abbey will travel to Queens to face the Royals in a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. The Abbey will also host King to open Conference Carolinas play at 2 p.m. from the Reidy Tennis Center.
