BELMONT, N.C./GREENSBORO, N.C. — The Belmont Abbey men's tennis team put together a strong showing Thursday afternoon as the Crusaders earned three victories on the day in split-squad competition Thursday.
In two home matches, the Crusaders earned victories of 5-2 and 6-1 over Averett and Fairmont State, respectively, at the Reidy Tennis Center. Additionally, Belmont Abbey also earned a 5-4 victory over Guilford College in Greensboro.
Brody Sawyer earned two wins in the Guilford match and the Crusaders also won 5 of six singles matches both against the Cougars and Quakers.
Against Fairmont State, the Crusaders won eight of nine matches and swept doubles play to earn that victory.
The Crusaders are now 15-9 following Thursday's results.
