WINGATE, N.C./BELMONT, N.C. — The Belmont Abbey women's tennis teams competed in two different dual matches Monday by facing Wingate on the road and hosting Methodist University Monday.
The Crusaders dropped a 7-0 contest to the No. 10 Bulldogs while The Abbey defeated the Monarchs 6-1 at the Reidy Tennis Center.
In the home match against Methodist, the Abbey earned wins in two of the three doubles matches and five of six singles matches.
Daniella Galeano came away with wins in both doubles and singles play to lead the Crusaders.
With the results, the Crusaders are now 4-2 on the season.
UP NEXT
- The Crusaders turn around Conference Carolinas preseason favoirt Erskine at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Reidy Tennis Center.
- The match will be a nonconference contest for both teams.
