HARROGATE, Tenn. — The Belmont Abbey women's tennis team went on the road for the first time this spring as the team faced off against Lincoln Memorial and UVA Wise Saturday at LMU's Indoor Tennis Facility.
 
The Crusaders ended up splitting the two matches on the day, falling to LMU 6-1 before earning a 7-0 win over UVA Wise in the second match.
 
Against the Railsplitters, Kaitlin Nguyen earned the sole point for the Crusaders in No. 4 singles. Against the Cavaliers, The Abbey took two of three doubles matches and earned a clean sweep in singles play. Lily Aranyos and Paola Socarras were two Crusaders who earned wins in both doubles and singles play.
 
Belmont Abbey is now 3-1 on the season while Lincoln Memorial is 1-0 and UVA wise is 5-2 on the season.
