GLENVILLE, W. Va. — Caleb Moore earned a runner-up finish and three other wrestlers had top-four finishes as the Belmont Abbey opened its 2024 season at the Glenville State Invitational Saturday afternoon at Waco Arena.
Moore won three bouts in the 197-pound weight class to advance to the championship match while
John Carayiannis (149),
Maxwell Kiel (174) and
Elijah Boyd (133) all finished fourth in their respective weight classes.
Mason Kump (184) and
Marcus Harnarain (285) also finished sixth and seventh, respectively.
As a team, the Crusaders finished fifth with 97 points and was the top finisher among Conference Carolinas schools competing at the tournament.
