BELMONT, N.C. -- Belmont Abbey had 11 players register at least one kill and hit a season-high .412 as a team, leading the Crusaders to a 3-0 (25-11, 25-15, 25-16) victory over Benedict in non-conference men's volleyball action Wednesday night.

The Abbey improves to 4-1 on the season, while the Tigers fall to 0-3.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Zach Puentes and Jibriel Elhaddad each had seven kills, while Brian Knoerr finished with six.
• Four players topped a .400 hitting percentage -- Ethan Rehmann (.833/5k-0e-6a), Knoerr (.500/6k-2e-8a), Elhaddad (.455/7k-2e-11a) and Ryan Charles (.4k-1e-7a).
• Jack Walsh and Joseph Morris shared setting duties, dishing out 23 and 14 assists, respectively.
• Matthew Staskunas led the defensive effort with five digs, while Christian Rodriguez and Charles added four each.
• Elhaddad tallied four blocks (one solo, three assists), while Knoerr and Garrett Hockman each had two block assists.
• The Crusaders used a season-high 15 players in the contest.
