AIKEN, S.C. -- Belmont Abbey continued its non-conference schedule Friday with the opening day of play at the USC Aiken Invitational. The Crusaders dropped a pair of 3-0 decisions to the host Pacers (25-19, 25-20, 25-8) and Lenoir-Rhyne (25-15, 25-19, 25-16).

The Crusaders fall to 0-6 with the results.

THE USC-AIKEN MATCH

• Cameron Young tallied a season-high 10 kills. She hit .212 with only three errors in 33 attempts.
• Lola Sultenfuss and Jenna McCullough both added four kills.
• Ella Schellenberg and Grace McClure dished out 10 assist each.
• Tyler Case led the defensive effort with a career-best 11 digs. McClure added seven digs, also a career high.
• The Crusaders had four service aces -- two by McClure and one each by Riley Nickol and Ellie Foco.

THE LENOIR-RHYNE MATCH

• Sultenfuss and Case keyed the offense with six kills each. Mia Samaha added five kills.
• Schellenberg dished out a season-high 25 assists, while also registering four digs and a block.
• Case and Trinity Bradley served the Crusaders' two aces. They were also the defensive leaders with eight and seven digs, respectively.
• McCullough had a team-high two blocks.
