MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- Four Crusaders earned all-conference honors Saturday, placing in the top three of their respective events, leading Belmont Abbey to a fourth-place finish at the 2023 Conference Carolinas Men;s Outdoor Track and Field Championship.
Thomas Thierfelder took second in the 800 meters, while
Cameron Gunn was also runner up in the 400 hurdles.
Garison Coleman (400m dash) and
Rexton Thorson (high jump) both placed third,
The Crusaders equaled their best standing ever at the conference outdoor meet with a program-high 89 points. Last year, The Abbey also placed fourth with 75 points.
