DUE WEST, S.C. --
Adison Yoder went 5-for-7 at the plate and had a win and a save in the circle as Belmont Abbey swept a doubleheader at Erskine in Conference Carolinas softball action Tuesday afternoon. The Crusaders won game one 9-7 in come-from-behind fashion, then took the second game 14-1 in five innings.
The Abbey registered 29 hits during the two games, including a season-high-tying 17 in the nightcap. The results, combined with a Converse loss at North Greenville later in the day, guarantees a berth in the Conference Carolinas Championship at the end of the month for the Crusaders (16-22, 10-10). The Flying Fleet (19-16, 9-9) also secured a spot despite the losses.

- Mele and Presley led off the game with back-to-back homers.
- Savanna Wise, who was moved onto the varsity roster mid-season off the developmental team, earned her first career win. The third pitcher of the game, she threw two scoreless innings, allowing just two hits.

Yoder's two-run single keyed the first, while Presley's third home run in the last six games -- a two-run dinger -- and a two-run double by Marlie Stilwell highlighted the third.
