MURFREESBORO, N.C. -- Belmont Abbey had 13 different players score at least one goal and equaled its season high for offensive output in a 26-3 win over Chowan in Conference Carolinas women's lacrosse action on Saturday.
Riley D'Andrea led the way with four goals, three of which came during an 11-1 first-quarter.
The Crusaders improve to 9-6 overall and 6-1 in league play, while the Hawks fell to 1-11, 1-7.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- In addition to D'Andrea's three first-quarter goals, Hailey Carroll scored twice -- including the first just 47 seconds in to the contest. Kacey Kubarewicz, Haley Adamo, Kate Roberts, Faith Piser, Kathryn Monk, and Angela Bagatta also added goals as the Crusaders built a running-clock lead with 29 seconds left in the period.
- Bagatta, Carroll and Sophia Browning all finished with three goals.
- The score was 15-2 at the break with Olivia Carlino joining the scoring party in the second quarter.
- Bagatta and Emma Pherson exchanged scoring twice in the third as the Crusaders increased the margin to 19-3 after 45 minutes.
- Seven goals in the fourth, including tallies by Reilly McCarthy and Grace Ridge led to the final score.
- Belmont Abbey held a 39-8 advantage in shots and took 20 of 31 draw controls. The free-position shot margin was 17-0.
- Summer Eddinger made four saves in the contest, three during a busy first quarter.
