BELMONT, N.C. -- Belmont Abbey led 11-0 after the first quarter and 15-0 by the middle of the second in a decisive 26-1 victory over Southern Wesleyan in Conference Carolina's women's lacrosse action Saturday. Olivia Carlino scored five goals with 12 other players also finding the net.

The Abbey improves to 3-2 overall and 2-0 in the league, while Warriors, who played the entire game with just 10 players, fall to 0-2, 0-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Haliey Carroll, Emma Pherson and Riley D'Andrea added three goals each.
• Angela Bagatta, Haley Adamo, Grace Ridge and Faith Piser were each credited with a pair of goals, while Reilly McCarthy, Kacey Kubarewicz, Kathyrn Monk, Christina Fabrizio and Kate Roberts found the net once each.
• Carroll finished the game with seven points (four assists), while Carlino and D'Andrea had five each.
• Three goalkeepers did not register a save, with starter Michelle Guppy earning the win.
