MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. – Frankee Hendricks and
Alexis Burkhalter each went 2-0 on the day for the Belmont Abbey women's tennis team but it was Mount Olive who came away with the 4-3 victory in a Conference Carolinas match Saturday at the John Neal Walker Tennis Center.
Burkhalter and Hendricks teamed up to win in doubles play 6-4, with Hendricks winning in No. 2 singles and Burkhalter win in No. 5 singles.
Elliott Peterson also won in singles play as well for The Abbey.
The Crusaders are now 11-6 overall, 2-1 in the conference. Mount Olive is 8-9 overall, 4-0 in the league.

- The Crusaders will split the squad on Tuesday.
- Belmont Abbey will take on Lees-McRae at noon in Banner Elk in a rescheduled Conference Carolinas contest from March 18.
- Others will stay at home and face Montevallo at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Reidy Tennis Center.
