BELMONT, N.C. -- Riley D'Andrea and Olivia Carlino combined for nine goals totals and Belmont Abbey built a 9-1 lead in the first half, lifting the Crusaders to a 17-9 victory over Lenoir-Rhyne Saturday in non-conference women's lacrosse action. Freshman Summer Eddinger made a career-high 13 saves in goal to earn the win.

With the win, the Crusaders improve to 6-4, while the Bears fall to 4-6.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• D'Andrea scored five times and added four assists for nine points. She took 10 shots overall, eight on goal, and grabbed two ground balls.
• Carlino added an assist to her four goals for five points. She took eight shots overall.
• Haley Adamo and Angela Bagatta scored two goals each, while Emma Pherson, Hailey Carroll, Christina Fabrizio and Kate Roberts also scored.
• Bagatta grabbed three of the Crusaders' 22 ground balls, while Kacey Kubarewicz won seven draw controls.
